ATTENTION LAID OFF EMPLOYEES
CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO RECALL RIGHTS PER THE NEW CONTRACT,
THE EXTENSION OF RECALL PERIOD HAS BEEN EXTENDED FROM 36 TO 48 MONTHS PER THE NEW CONTRACT.
LAID OFF EMPLOYEES MAY BE RECALLED TO THE ADDITIONAL CLASSIFICATIONS ASIDE FROM THOSE PREVIOUSLY HELD: GENERAL LABORER, TOOL CRIB ATTENDANT, OR STRUCTURAL ASSEMBLER -THREE.
ADDITION OF A 30 WORKING DAY QUALIFYING PERIOD UPON RECALL: FAILURE TO QUALIFY WILL RESULT IN LAYOFF WITH LOSS OF RECALL RIGHTS TO THAT CLASSIFICATION.
NEW JOB EXIT SHEET PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EMPLOYEES ON LAYOFF STATUS TO EXPRESS INTEREST IN AND ABILITY TO PERFORM CLASSIFICATIONS OTHER THAN THOSE PREVIOUSLY HELD. THEY WILL BE MAILED OUT TO EMPLOYEES WHO ARE ALREADY LAID OFF.
UPON RECALL, EMPLOYEES MAY REQUEST A SHIFT CHANGE ACROSS DEPARTMENTAL LINES WITHIN THEIR CLASSIFICATION. REQUEST WILL BE GRANTED IN SENIORITY ORDER.
